Stella & the Fridge is angry. But she is part of a generation that longs for tenderness. Her lyrics are political, precise, and personal. Her performances feel close and honest, but they also leave a sense of discomfort. Sometimes electronic sounds take the lead, sometimes the songs feel almost empty of instruments. Between the harsh view of a brutal world, there are moments of reflection and longing. What a deception.
