Run Dung is a large combo of eight musicians: a rhythm section with an incisive groove, a horn section rich in harmonic nuances and a warm and intense female voice that weaves ska, rocksteady, reggae, soul and jazz as different expressions of the same musical root.
The band's name recalls a traditional Jamaican dish, a symbol of authenticity and harmony among simple but essential ingredients. Similarly, Run Dung seeks a genuine and balanced sound, the result of the encounter between different experiences and languages.
The lineup is based on decades of experience of its members, who have been active for years in the main realities of the Italian ska, reggae and rocksteady scene.
