I am a composer and pianist, writing music that blends classical tradition with a cinematic, contemporary sound. Music has always been part of my life. I grew up in a musical household, surrounded by the piano playing of my mum and the 1950s rock and roll of my dad and his friends. I was captivated by film music from composers like Vangelis and John Williams, and I would try to pick out the melodies by ear as soon as I got home.
Although I played piano for many years just for myself, I always wanted to compose. With the support of Gisela Paterno at WKMT in London, I began formal study and developed my voice as a composer. Writing for the piano allows me to express emotions I cannot put into words.
