Formed in 1971 in Essex, England, the Downhome Jazz Band has become one of the region's longest-running and most entertaining traditional jazz bands. Built around a love of classic New Orleans and Dixieland jazz, the band was founded by trumpeter and vocalist Bill Jenkins.
