Jean-Pierre Schmitt, a conductor of remarkable precision and elegance, embodies the essence of the French conducting tradition. Trained under the tutelage of his friend and mentor, the late maestro Jean Fournet, Schmitt is celebrated for his exceptional artistry.

Schmitt's journey began in France, working with the Conservatory Paris V Youth Orchestras and the International Orchestra in Paris. His talents have taken him around the world as a guest conductor, leading orchestras including the Chamber Orchestra and Philharmonic Orchestra of Macedonia, the National Orchestra of Moldova, and the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Oryol (Russian Federation). He also conducted the Philharmonic Orchestra of Honduras and The Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra.

Schmitt's recordings have received critical acclaim, highlighting his unique ability to accompany soloists and his unwavering commitment to the art of music. He is also the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Classical Saxophone Project, based in the vibrant heart of New York City.
