Founded in 2009 by conductor Boian Videnoff, the Mannheim Philharmonic quickly gained international recognition through its passionate performances, dynamic interpretations, and high artistic standards. The orchestra was created to support outstanding young musicians at the beginning of their professional careers and has since developed a unique profile as one of Europe’s youngest professional orchestras and an international platform for emerging talent. The Mannheim Philharmonic has performed at major festivals and concert series across Europe and Asia, appearing regularly in renowned venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Munich Philharmonie and Herkulessaal, Auditorio Nacional Madrid, Milan Auditorium, Stuttgart Liederhalle, Queen Elisabeth Hall Antwerp, and Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg. The orchestra collaborates regularly with leading artists such as Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, Daniil Trifonov, Gautier Capuçon, Pinchas Zukerman, Maria João Pires, Sergei Babayan, Sonya Yoncheva, Kristine Opolais, Lars Vogt, Sergei Nakariakov, Igor Levit, etc.
