Chris Ilkjaer was born in Christiansfeld (Denmark) in 1964. He is also known as “Chris D. Wildcat”. Chris has been writing songs since 1974 and played in various local bands since the late 70s. In addition to singing, Chris plays guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and harmonica. In 1992 he performed on Danish national television with 1.5 million viewers. In 1997 his music was released in Germany and in 1999 he signed his first American record deal. In 2009 he recorded in Memphis, TN - Nashville, TN + La Vergne, TN. Chris has performed solo in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Sweden, the UK and in the USA (TN + TX). Chris is inspired by various genres, including Americana, Blues, Country, Jazz, Pub Rock, Punk, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Rock 'n' Roll and Rockabilly.
