My name is Jesús Diestre, and I release my compositions under the alias “Muted Symphony.” Born in Zaragoza, Spain, I’ve always been surrounded by music. Thanks to my older brothers, I grew up listening to iconic ’70s and ’80s artists like Genesis, EL&P, Yes, Oldfield, and Tangerine Dream.
I began studying classical piano at 12 and played in local bands. After completing my education, I recognized my potential to make a living from music and started composing my own pieces.
My music is eclectic, influenced by a wide range of styles, from baroque to early 20th-century, minimalism, new age, and even non-western traditions. These influences shape my sound, but they don’t define it. My aim is to create compositions with integrity—each piece tells a story, evokes emotion, and connects positively with listeners while maintaining my distinctive voice.
