Cláudia Ribas is a Portuguese mezzo-soprano recognized for her versatility across baroque, classical and contemporary repertoire. She recently completed the Young Artist Program at Oper Frankfurt (2022–2025), where she appeared in productions such as Giulio Cesare, Die Zauberflöte, Elektra, Partenope, L’invisible and The Enchantress.
Recent and upcoming engagements include appearances at Luzern Theater, Malmö Opera, Nationaltheater Mannheim and Oper Frankfurt, with roles such as Carmen, Tancredi, Federica (Luisa Miller) and Cornelia (Giulio Cesare).
As a concert soloist, she has performed with ensembles including Copenhagen Phil, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and Aschaffenburg Philharmonic, with repertoire ranging from Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Verdi’s Requiem to works by Max Reger.
She holds degrees from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. A prizewinner of several international competitions, she received multiple awards at the International Vocal Competition ’s-Hertogenbosch, including First Prize and the Wagner Prize.
