Nicolas J. Chaanine is a classical contemporary music composer  from Lebanon born in 1990 who started exploring music at a young age. He has always had a keen interest in the music of different cultures from around the world, which has greatly influenced his unique style. Chaanine's music breaks down barriers and speaks to audiences from diverse backgrounds. In June 2022, his opus 1, Transumanti triptych for alto saxophone and string ensemble premiered in New York, and later in the same year, he had the honor of performing it with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra. With his passion for musical fusion and exploration, Chaanine continues to explore the sounds of today and is making a meaningful impact on the contemporary classical music scene, drawing inspiration from the rich musical traditions of the world.
