Eating Black Milk - Ambient pop from Switzerland.
Eating Black Milk are:
Str - Voice, Der Inscheniƶr - Keyboards, I'm Off - Guitars
"Eating Black Milk" is the first album by the band of the same name. It was released in 2000.
EBM started as a project of friends, who - without the initial intention of forming (another) band or recording music - started jamming with drum loops. The first track was "Froglike", others followed in quick succession. Recording took place in the band's own rehearsal room on a digital four-track machine and at Ljubo Majstorovic's Sound Vision Studios. Ljubo is responsible for the exquisite bass lines and real percussion, he also contributed some guitars and keyboards.
Trivia:
Inspired by trip-hop acts such as Massive Attack and Portishead, EBM wanted to bring Pink Floyd into the new century. They were therefore honoured to be included on a CD sampler by German rock magazine 'Eclipsed', along with Roger Waters' 'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun'...
A working title for the album was "A million lights can't fight that fog". This inspired graphic artist Frank Seiler to create the artwork ("lots of dots").
The band - with the addition of a drummer, bassist and vocalist - toured Switzerland to promote the album.www.eatingblackmilk.com
