Salzburg Guitar Trio
Internationally recognized as one of the leading guitar ensembles of today, the award-winning Salzburg Guitar Trio engages its audiences with their energetic presence and deeply emotional performances.
The ensemble has performed extensively in music festivals and concert halls throughout Europe and North America. They were artists-in-residence in Antoni Gaudi’s La Pedrera in Spain and their concerts have been broadcast live on television and radio.
Salzburg Guitar Trio has been awarded first prize at the ‘Ciutat d’Elx Guitar Festival’ in Spain, the ‘Corelli-Savarez Chamber Music Competition’ in Austria, and ‘Valle dei Laghi Guitar Festival‘ in Italy. As First Prize winners of the Guitar Foundation of America ‘International Ensemble Competition’, the Salzburg Guitar Trio was the first ever ensemble to be awarded a GFA Artist’s Tour, which took them across North America in Spring of 2023. Their concert tour included coaching soloists and ensembles in public masterclasses for guitar societies, universities and conservatories.
The trio’s debut album “III“, featuring highlights of their current programme, was released in 2023. Upcoming plans include arranging brand new repertoire for their second album, and recording John Duarte’s complete works for guitar trio.
