The present digitized recordings are youth recordings of Tibor Varga, made between 1935 and 1947, and originally released as shellac records (78 rpm).
The pieces were recorded in one run, corrections were not possible, so that the recordings represent, as it were, live recordings.Tibor Varga, violinist and conductor of world-wide renown and creator of a new style of violin playing, may be considered as one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century, as numerous critics attest.
