Bo Weavil

The idea of this project results from the artist's desire to evolve his original blues sound and infuse a major new musical influence. The result is a tapestry of songs written in English and Spanish, weaving in a very personal and original way a cultural mix between his melancholic blues and African and Afro-Caribbean polyrhythms. Inspired by the Mandinka culture of West Africa and the Sahara, the swaying rhythms of the islands of Jamaica and Cuba, skirting the Gulf of Mexico towards New Orleans and thus to the borders of Latin-America, “A Blessing In Disguise” is a long-distance journey to the shores of 'World Blues'.
